Barbara Muhl was married for forty-six years to Edward Muhl (Vice-President in Charge of Production at Universal Pictures, until his retirement in 1973). The author found life as the wife of a motion picture executive unfulfilling. She went to UCLA to study opera and languages, becoming fluent in Spanish, German, and Italian. Later she graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Northridge, in French Language and Literature, going on to receive her Master’s degree.
Though she believed herself to be embarked on an operatic career, in 1958 she met her spiritual teacher, Joel Goldsmith, author of The Infinite Way, and her life was turned in a new direction. In 1962, under his instruction, she began her teaching ministry. Her work resulted in hundreds of healings and changed lives. Her books are textbooks of Infinite Way principles and practices, and provide step-by-step methods for achieving freedom from the human struggle.
